Easter is a great time to break out your cake decorating gadgets and learn something new. There are always fun and new ideas for Easter cupcakes. Here are some of the most popular ones for this year.
This one is a lot easier than it looks. All it takes it two types of nozzles and some candy easter eggs. For the grass use a multi-opening nozzle. For the nest, you can use the grass nozzle or use a 2D nozzle. You can also use both to make all the nests look different. Once you have the frosting on just place 3 candy Easter eggs into the middle, and you’ll have the perfect Easter egg nest cupcakes. See the turtorial here.
To make these easy chicks, start with the icing on the feet, beak, and eyes because they take a few hours to dry. Get your yellow frosting with large round tip and put an even layer on the top of the cupcake. To make the head, pipe a dollop of frosting on top of the first layer of frosting. Then use a pair of tweezers (clean ones) to add the feet, beak, and eyes. You can cover it with yellow sprinkles or leave it as is. See the tutorial here.
These carrot cupcakes couldn’t be any easier. They are super simple and take delicious. Make your carrot cake cupcakes, then use a large round tip to put on the cream cheese frosting. Get orange and green candy melts, melt them according to the package instructions, then use a piping bag with a small tip to make the carrots on a cookie sheet. Once they dry, you can take them off and place them on top of the cupcake. See the tutorial here.
There are some really difficult bunny butt cupcakes, but this is an easy one. Melt white and pink candy melts and a piping bag with a small opening to make the bunny feet. Scoop a small amount of cake out of the middle of the cupcake. Then put green grass icing with a multi-opening nozzle (or tip #133) all around the cupcake. Place the rounded scoop of cake in the middle. Then use white frosting with a tip #24 nozzle to make the bunny butt. For the tail, use a tip #20. Place the candy melt feet on the edge and you’re done! See the tutorial here!
Another easy Easter cupcake you can do. To start, make your cupcakes and allow them to cool. Once they are cool, scoop a small amount out of the middle. Get some strawberries and melt orange candy melts according to the package directions. Then dip the strawberries in the orange candy melts. Once they are dry, you can use a piping bag to add lines of texture on the dipped strawberries. Then frost the cupcakes and crush oreos for the dirt. Place the crushed oreos around the cupcake on top of the frosting. Then place your orange strawberry in the middle. You’ve got carrot patch cupcakes! See the tutorial here.
